Completed projects<\/strong><\/h1>\n

Over the years, IDC has completed a number of projects, amongst others, Kompetensnavet, H\u00e5llbar industriell utveckling and M\u00f6belbruket.<\/p>\n

<\/h2>\n

ReactEU Energy Storage & Power Electronics<\/h2>\n

The project further develops the technical laboratory in ASSAR Industrial Innovation Arena and thereby strengthens Sk\u00f6vde and Skaraborg\u2019s position as a nationally significant node in the manufacture of electric powertrains.<\/p>\n

The investment broadens the existing technical laboratory in ASSAR to include more complete electric drive systems and creates a knowledge base within testing and verification of production methods as well as research on production systems in different parts of the value chain. The knowledge is relevant to the entire cluster of manufacturing companies, subcontractors, and technology companies located in the region.<\/p>\n

Catalyst<\/h2>\n

For a smart and sustainable industry.<\/p>\n

Catalyst is the project which will give increased responsibility for the future through the conversion to a more circular economy and more sustainable products within industry.<\/p>\n

Through collaboration between several development centers, universities, innovation environments and research institutes, more than 360 manufacturing industrial companies in West Sweden will be given access to innovation experts and on-going projects and new research findings.<\/p>\n

ASSAR Industrial Innovation Arena<\/h2>\n

A platform for the exchange of knowledge with national and international companies, knowledge nodes and institutes.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>The aim of this venture is to establish a world-leading development environment which is physically and virtually integrated for research, technological development, innovation and education in Sk\u00f6vde.<\/p>\n

The initiators of this venture are Gothia Innovation AB, the University of Sk\u00f6vde, the Volvo Group, Volvo Car Corporation and Industrical Development Center West Sweden AB.<\/p>\n

Circular Hub<\/h2>\n

The project for circular fashion and sustainable environments.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Circular Hub is a collaboration platform for circular business models concerning textiles, fashion, furnishings and furniture.<\/p>\n

The platform will work as a enabler and catalyst for the development of the textile, furnishing and furniture sectors in West Sweden with special emphasis on small and medium-sized companies in the region.<\/p>\n

Circular Hub\u2019s vision and overall aim is to place West Sweden as a world-leading partner and role model within circular economy and minimize the impact on the environment concerning textiles, fashion, furnishings and furniture.<\/p>\n

Datemats<\/h2>\n

The Datemats project will improve knowledge and technology transfer in a design-driven way.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>The aim of the Datemats project is to transfer and implement a unique, design-driven method of training for students with various backgrounds (design and technology) within the area of Emerging Materials and Technologies (EMT). A further aim of the project is to increase knowlege and the transfer of technology from the Academy and research centers to industry. IDC West Sweden is one of several collaboration partners in Europe.<\/p>\n

Fenixz<\/h2>\n

Competence development for people and companies.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Fenixz aims to raise people’s skills level and stimulate business development, the project offers skills development for employees and leaders in small and medium-sized companies.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Framrutan<\/h2>\n

Transformation for vehicle suppliers<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Framrutan<\/em> is a regional collaborative project which offers 70 hours coaching support to help companies with their transformation. Furthermore, the project offers competence development and adaptation of operations based on the technological development taking place for the participants. This enhances the companies\u2019 competitiveness and the region will continue to be a world leader. The suppliers are the \u2018engine\u2019 of the industry with 375 suppliers and 42 500 employees in V\u00e4stra G\u00f6taland, making this extremely important.<\/p>\n

Kompetens+<\/h2>\n

For SMEs and startups<\/p>\n

The Competence + project gives companies the chance to strengthen their business with one of all the experienced and skilled people who have been affected by redundancies due to the corona pandemic. This will increase companies’ ability to innovate and be competitive, and ultimately make the wheels roll faster and contribute to new jobs being created and skills remaining in the region.<\/p>\n

Next generation powertrain production<\/h2>\n

Part of Vinnova’s program Challenge-driven Innovation, step 3 – implementation.<\/p>\n

The automotive industry is in the middle of a technology shift towards electric powertrains. One of the big challenges to remain competitive in the technology change is to be able to cost-effectively convert existing production to the production of new powertrains.<\/p>\n

UDI<\/h2>\n

The next generation of drive lines in Sweden.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>The project takes place within the Vinnova program for challenging innovation and it creates the prerequistes for the development of electronic drive lines and efficient value chains for production in Sweden.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

M\u00f6belbruket<\/h2>\n

The project investigated an efficient public handling of furniture and worked as support where the public sector could find and disseminate information about the circular handling of furniture.<\/p>\n

Between 2015 and 2019, the M\u00f6belbruket Project together with the furniture industry investigated how a professional handling of furniture for recycling could be implemented. The aim was to find a working business model which was successful. A finished business model is now being run by the Sajkla company which takes care of questions concerning businesses connected to an industrial qualitative recycling. A rationalised flow of furniture for recycling goes via the supplier networks which have previously taken part in the M\u00f6belbruket Project.<\/p>\n

H\u00e5llbar Industriell Utveckling<\/h2>\n

The project created increased competitiveness for our partner companies by the conversion to a more sustainable business and manufacturing process. In the concept of sustainability, there are three dimensions: socal, economic and ecological.<\/p>\n

Sustainable Industrial Development ran between the years 2016 and 2018 and it was run through \u201dhelp to self-help\u201d to attain long-term effects. Through a learning organisation, the level is increased internally in the companies and it is retained to be further developed even after the venture. Participating companies have, via the project, received a more systematic and strategic way to work when it comes to the sustainable development of their business and production; this in turn generates a competitive and profitable industry.<\/p>\n

\"v\u00e4xt<\/a><\/p>\n

Kompetensnavet<\/h2>\n

A development project that made a difference.<\/p>\n

The Competence Node was run during a three-year period between October 2015 and September 2018. The aim of the project was to secure attractive workplaces for a sustainable future industry and included subjects such as values, mapping of competence, employeeship, involvement, education, equality and diversity.<\/p>\n
